Sited at the west end of Ivy Lake just off the A27, Chichester Waterski Club is a friendly, vibrant, thriving club of skiing and wake boarding enthusiasts. We have mooring for up to 16 boats we have about 100 members, including lots of families with children, who have the opportunity to ski and wakeboard more or less whenever they like during the daylight hours of the summer.
We have a few set times when we operate single boat for the more committed members wishing to hone their jump, slalom and wakeboard skills. Other than that our members are free to use the lake as they wish. You are able to invite your friends and family to join you, and even ski if they wish, but if it’s just a barbecue in the sun you prefer, then that’s fine as well.
Our facilities include a ski jump and slalom course. Since the start of the 2013 season we have fully equipped clubhouse with cooking and showering facilities and a lounge with a TV if you just want to relax.
We believe that waterskiing and wake boarding should be accessible to all no matter what age and to prove it here’s a video of one of our members skiing at 80!! Click here. We think that to have a safe place where your children can be in the great outdoors, for even a few months of the year, and also participate in a sport at the same time, is a really good thing.
We have a number of British Water Ski instructors who are always on hand to offer any advice and a member who is our British Water Ski, SBDA (Ski Boat Driver Award) Examiner who will teach and test for this qualification by appointment.
